Marjorie “Margie” Gay, a native of East Baton Rouge, passed away at her home in Walker, Louisiana, and received angels wings on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, at the age of 58. She will be greatly missed by those she left behind, especially her little puppies Sassy and Ashley; her best friend of many years Daryl Philpot; her mother and stepfather Sally and Pat White, Sr.; three sisters Darnell Wilson and friend Milton Lee, Ann LeJeune and husband John, Mary Shaw and husband Danny; two brothers D.L. Gay, Jr. and James Richard “Ricky” Gay; step sister Katherine and husband James Jeasame; and step brother Pat White, Jr. and fiancé Delores. She was preceded in death by her brother Earl Gay; her sister Virginia Gay; two nieces Chasady Madison and Lynn Doiga, her puppy Trixie; her grandparents on both sides, and a host of nieces and nephews. Margie’s father, D.L. Gay, Sr. of Kansas, passed away shortly after his daughter on Monday, Aug. 21, 2017. Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 13 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 2 p.m. The funeral was officiated by Rev. Charles Chesteen. Burial was at the Denham Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews and friend Jamie Gay, Joseph Gay, Jody Wilson, Jeremy Glover, Calvin Toups and Jamie Hoyt. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice and all of the ones that worked with Margie.
