Dale Booty, 77, a resident of Walker, Louisiana, died on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018. Mr. Booty was the owner of Bear Corners Restaurant in Jackson, Louisiana, and later retired after a full career with Piccadilly Cafeteria. He was proud to have reigned as the 2017 Mardi Gras King of Colonial Oaks Living Center. The children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life. His never-met-a-stranger attitude, kind spirit, passion for LSU sports, and zest for life will live on through them. He was a former member of Jackson First Baptist Church and a current member of Walker Baptist Church. There will be a 3 p.m. graveside service on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at Jackson Cemetery in Jackson. The service will be conducted by Reverend Joe Nesom of First Baptist Church in Jackson. Mr. Booty is survived by his daughter, Sherry Walker of New Orleans, and two grandchildren, Kristin Alexis Booty and Braelyn Grace Booty of Walker. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Stone Booty; son Chris Edward Booty; and parents, Nesby and Allie Booty. Pallbearers will be Carl Dabadie, Ron May, Greg Givens and Norman Hingle.
