Coby Will Hoyt tragically passed away on Nov. 16, 2018, in Baton Rouge, LA, at the young age of 23. Coby was born on Sept. 12, 1995, in Baton Rouge, LA, the first son to his loving mother, Amy Hoyt. A native of Denham Springs, LA, Coby was a graduate of Doyle High School and worked as an electrician. Coby accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was baptized at True Light Baptist Church, where he attended until his death. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved family: his mother and stepfather, Amy Hoyt and Danny Jones; sisters, Georgia Hoyt, Kimberlee Hoyt, Victoria Hoyt, Madison Hoyt, and Lavoka Mikell; brothers, Collin Hoyt and Anthoney Mikell; nieces and nephews, A’maya, Jansen, Kay’dain and Ay’den Hoyt, Jada Parker, and Percy Moton; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his loving girlfriend, Kiera Goudeau. Coby was preceded in death by his stepfather, Wilbert Thomas; maternal grandparents, Randy and Betty Hoyt; and paternal grandparents, Canarie Kinchen and Charles Jordan. Arrangements have been entrusted to McLin & Manley Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, from 12-2 p.m. at Life Church, 9036 Florida Blvd., Walker, LA. Coby’s life will be celebrated at a funeral service held at 2 p.m. at Life Church. Bro. Barry Posey will officiate the ceremony. Coby will always be remembered by everyone who knew him as a bright light in his family and community. He truly lived a life of selflessness, always giving to others, even if he would have to go without.
