DENHAM SPRINGS – The deadline to nominate a business for one of the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year awards is Friday, Dec. 8.

The winning businesses will be recognized at the Chamber’s’ annual meeting on Jan. 17.

Chamber members can nominate a peer business or their own business.

Once a nominee accepts the nomination, the Chamber sends an overview form to the business.

A business must complete the form, which allows the business to tell its own story and successes. The deadline to return the form to the Chamber is Dec. 21.

Awards are judged by an independent group outside of Louisiana.

The award categories are Small Business of the Year, Medium Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year and Community Impact Award, or Non-Profit of the Year Award.

The business categories are divided based on annual revenue and number of employees.

Nominees for the Community Impact Award (Non-Profit of the Year Award) must be an active 501-C3 organization operating in Livingston Parish.

The nominees must be a member of the Chamber and have been in operation for three years.

After a business wins an award, there is a seven-year waiting period before they can be nominated again.

To nominate a business, contact the Chamber of Commerce at (225) 665-8155 or go to
