DENHAM SPRINGS -- Around 400 students taking Art 1 and Art 2 recently had their work on display during the 2019 Denham Springs High School Art Show.

The Art Show, held in the DSHS Library on May 2, featured pieces from students in grades 10-12 who worked with a wide variety of mediums, including sculptures, watercolors, pencil drawings, painting, 3D pieces, and more.

Specific awards were handed out in 27 categories, as well as the top three artists in "Overall in 2D," "Overall in 3D," and "Overall in Painting."

Work came from students in 14 classes at Denham Springs High, taught by Virginia Berthelot, Lorin Caruso, and Michelle Freneaux Chaissang. Students had been completing the pieces since August.
