To celebrate 12 years, the Grand Country Junction is charging $12.
That’ll be the price for an adult ticket to the Grand Country Junction’s first concert of 2019, which will serve as a celebration for the old country/gospel show’s 12-year anniversary on Saturday, Jan. 19.
The show will be held at the Suma Crossing Theatre and is slated to feature The Highway 104.7 FM’s Roger Gill as well as the The Powell Family Children from Livingston. Those performers will be backed by Danny Harrell and the Nashville Addition Band and the Junction Cast, which features performers from Livingston Parish and the surrounding area.
The Grand Country Junction is a country-western show that takes place on the third Saturday of every month.
Harrell and Greg Sullivan started the Grand Country Junction on Jan. 7, 2007, back when it was called the Livingston Parish County and Gospel Jubilee and held at the Old South Jamboree in Walker.
In 2013, Sullivan and Harrell brought the show to the Suma Crossing Theatre after meeting with owner Garry Lewis, who saw them perform in the previous venue. They changed the show’s name after the move, and it’s been held at the Suma Crossing Theatre ever since, with Harrell continuing to manage the band while Sullivan runs the business.
For this Saturday’s show, tickets will be $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 4-12, while children 3 and younger get in for free. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. The Suma Crossing Theater is located at 28975 South Satsuma Road in Satsuma.
For more information on Saturday’s show, contact Sullivan at (985) 507-9432 or visit the website at www.grandcountryjunction.com.
