The Maurepas softball team scored a pair of wins over the weekend, splitting a doubleheader at Plainview with an 11-5 win in the opener and a 7-1 loss in the second game.

Maurepas picked up a 13-7 win over Weston on Friday.

MAUREPAS 11, PLAINVIEW 7

Maurepas had 15 hits in the game and led 5-4 after two innings before picking up three in the 3rd for an 8-4 lead. Each team scored a run in the 4th, and Maurepas tacked on single runs in the 6th and 7th.

Hannah Gautreau went 2-for-5 and scored two runs, Hannah Delatte was 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored, Keegan Marchand went 2-for-2 with an RBI, Laigen Loupe was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and and RBI and Hailey Harden went 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs to lead Maurepas.

Kaylynn Vicknair threw a complete game with four strikeouts while giving up seven hits and five runs to get the win.

PLAINVIEW 7, MAUREPAS 1

Plainview snapped a 1-1 tie with five runs in the 5th and picked up another run in the 6th to grab the win.

McKenna Lessard gave up 10 hits, including a pair of home runs, while striking out five in six innings for the loss.

Vicknair went 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Dru Bantaa was 1-for-4 with a run scored to lead Maurepas.

MAUREPAS 13, WESTON 7

Maurepas scored 11 in the 2nd and added two in the 4th for a 13-0 lead before Weston scored four in the 5th and three in the 6th.

Marchand, Vicknair and Sarah Crawford had home runs for the Lady Wolves, who had eight hits. Crawford was 1-for-4 with 5 RBIs and a run scored, Marchand went 1-for-3 with 3 RBIs and a run scored, and Vicknair went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Lessard gave up 10 hits, including a home run, seven runs, two walks and struck out 10 in a complete game win.
