Barreling to another District 8-C championship proved to be no problem for Maurepas this spring and the all-district team reflects just how dominant the Wolves were.

Nine position players landed on the league’s elite team, with sophomore Hunter Dupuy leading the way as the 8-C Most Valuable Player.

None of Maurepas’ front-line pitchers were named because none of them pitched in a district game as the Wolves rolled to a 4-0 record on the way to the district crown.

It didn’t matter who threw anyway because Maurepas outscored Family Christian and Grand Isle 62-11 in the four league contests.

Dupuy was the offensive catalyst with a .412 batting average, but he got plenty of help.

Infielders Peyten Sturges (.375), Cole Bovia (.322) and Chase Guitreau (.295) all got first-team spots, as did senior outfielder Dillon Quamme (.384), junior Hunter Duplessis (team-best .434) and junior Michael Vannapha (.317) at DH. Outfielders Aiden McCoy and Nick Delatte rounded out the Wolves' all-district picks.

Maurepas’ Anthony Gregoire got the nod as the Coach of the Year after guiding his team to a 17-15 overall mark against a rugged schedule.
