LIVINGSTON -- Keith McKigney and Kendall Stanga combined on a six-hitter as Springfield shut out Doyle 4-0 in District 9-2A action on Tuesday.

Springfield picked up single runs in the 3rd and 5th innings and two in the 6th.

Meanwhile, McKigney gave up five hits, three walks and struck out six in six innings to get the win. Stanga gave up one hit and struck out three in an inning of relief.

Wyatt Bankston gave up four hits, two runs, two walks and struck out one in five innings of relief of Doyle starter Ty Mixon to take the loss. Hunter Mizell gave up two runs, two hits and struck out two in an inning of relief.

Britt Harris went 2-for-4, McKigney, Ty Moran and Micah Crittenden each went 1-for-3, Stanga was 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI, Matt Kreutzer went 1-for-4 with an RBI and Travis Freeman was 1-for-4 with a run scored for Springfield.

Cole Mack went 2-for-3 for Doyle, while Colton Newsom was 1-for-2 and Brooks Beatty went 1-for-1.
