The Louisiana Braves will hold tryouts for the 2018 season on Aug. 7 on Fields #s 10 and 11 at the Live Oak Sports Complex.

Players will try out from 7-9 p.m. in a pro style workout. The Braves will form one team each for 11U, 12U and 13U.

In addition to competing in the best tournaments (USSSA, Perfect Game) against the best competition in our region, the Louisiana Braves are going in a direction no one else in this area has brought to the table.

Under the direction of Wes Theriot, the Braves are building an organization specifically to provide kids with the chance to compete against the best players in the country at the highest level.

USA Baseball has events designed to identify and evaluate the best players from ages 10-18 and through Theriot’s association with the USA 18U team, he has access to these events and believes there is enough talent in the region to have a presence on the various National Team rosters.

Along with a full season tournament schedule (10-12 tournaments), the Braves will participate in 11-13U NTIS (National Team Identification Series), 11-13U NTDP (National Team Developmental Program) and National Team Championship Events with the goal of getting players invited to compete for a USA Baseball roster spot in their respective age groups.

Contact Theriot at for pre-registration forms or with any questions.
