Dawson Hutchinson struck out 17 as Holden picked a 10-4 win over Slaughter on Wednesday and Dustin Rushing struck out eight in a complete-game win over the same team on Tuesday to help the Rockets wrap up the District 7-B title with an 8-0 league mark.

Holden 10, Slaughter Charter 4

The Rockets backed Hutchinson with 13 hits, including a 3-for-3 effort from Hutchinson.

Scott Robertson went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and 2 RBIs, John Sharp was 2-for-4 with a run scored and Hunter Bordelon went 2-for-3 with a run scored to pace the Rockets, who trailed 2-0 after the 1st inning but took the lead for good with a four-run 2nd.

Hutchinson gave up six hits, four runs and walked three in the winning effort.

On Tuesday, Holden built a 5-0 lead and cored in all but two innings to get the win.

Rushing gave up six hits, three runs and two walks to get the win.

Robertson was 2-for-2 with three runs scored, Rushing was 2-for-5 with 3 RBIs, Cole Forbes went 3-for-4 and John Sharp was 2-for-2 with a run scored.
