In loving memory of Tracy H. Musgrove, born Nov. 4, 1935, and passed away Aug. 19, 2016, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home, after an extended illness. He was 80 years old. He was born in McCreary County to Alvis and Margaret West Musgrove, near Strunks, Ky. His step-mother was Inez Wilson Musgrove. He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Mosco and Joyce Kennedy; one brother, Russell Musgrove; three half-sisters, Theresa Thomas, JoElla Memmer, and Melissa Thorne; and one half-brother, Brent Musgrove. His family enjoyed singing and playing music together. As a young child, he learned to play several stringed instruments of which he derived great pleasure throughout his life. At an early age, his family moved to Indiana, where he worked in all fields of construction. He used the knowledge and skill sets acquired to assist others in times of need. ! He resided in Indiana until 1976 when he moved to Denham Springs. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Shirley (Steinhall) Musgrove; seven children, Misty Burton (husband Gary Burton), Tracy Ray Musgrove (companion Vickie Chandler), Margarey Armstrong (husband Lynnard "Shorty" Armstrong), Michael Musgrove (wife Teresa Musgrove), Scott Musgrove, Angela Ahmad, and Teresa Thibodeaux. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren, Sadie Crum, Shannon Musgrove, Jeremy Burton, Margarey Valdez, Joshua Burton, Scot Musgrove, Colby Musgrove, Kevin Musgrove, Jason Musgrove, Amber Nguyen, Kaitlyn Musgrove, Shadan Tran, Britni Tran, and Jadelyn Musgrove. He also had several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Lorraine Coil, Sheila Dolan, Maxine Isenhart, and Doris Coil (sisters); Elvis Musgrove and Benjamin Musgrove (half-brothers); Shannon Musgrove and Jadelyn Musgrove (granddaughters). He was a baptized Jehovah's Witness and looked forward to a resurrection of life in a paradise on earth. He was a loving husband, a caring father, and a proud grandfather. He will be greatly missed! The family would especially like to thank the staff at Harvest Manor Nursing Home for the thoughtful and compassionate care they gave to Tracy during his stay for the past two years. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Livingston, on Friday, Aug. 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Afterwards, a private graveside service will be held with the family.
