Our precious Sandy went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Monday August 22, 2016. "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7. Sandy Kay (Portier) Nugent was born July 5, 1968, in Greensburg, La., raised in Livingston Parish and a resident of Marksville, La. She is survived by her husband, Keith Nugent; son, Devin Rachal; stepson, Joshua Nugent; mother, Stella Ballard Portier; mother and father in-law, Barbara and Jimmy Nugent; brothers and sister-in-laws, Tommy and Debbie Portier; Robert and Judy Portier; Clay and Mellisa Portier; sisters and brothers in-law, Betty and Ken Stafford; Debbie and Huey (Jr.) White; Linda Portier and Ernest Guidry; Vickey Turner; Susan and Mike Lauret; Brenda and Mike Alexander; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Bernard Portier Sr.; brother, Sidney Anthony Portier Sr.; and grandparents, Clay and Estellina Ledet Portier; Willie Oscar (Bill) and Elmer Hood Ballard. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Livingston on Tuesday, Aug. 30, from 5 p.m to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Ray Johnson. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
