Robert “Bobby Pops” Thompson Jr. passed away on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at his home in Denham Springs, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 60. A memorial service will be held at his home in Denham Springs on Saturday, Aug. 13. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Shirley Marie Russo Thompson; daughters, Christy Ann Thompson Hughes and husband Billy, and Annie Elizabeth Thompson; son, Josh Joseph Guidry; grandchildren, Cynthiana, Billy, Nathan, and Kayla; great-grandchild, Layndon; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Christina Russo; many nieces and nephews; and best special friend, Catherine and David Lane.
