James "Jim" Kevan Easley, age 65, went to his heavenly home on June 1, 2017, at his residence in Independence surrounded by his loving family. He enjoyed reading and completing crossword puzzles. Jim was a Tractor Trailer Operator and obtained his paralegal certificate. He enjoyed history and spending time with his family. He was a loving man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Judy Wascom Easley; daughters, Amie Elizabeth Easley, Brooke Bennett Kinchen and husband Brandon Kinchen; son, Bradley Dale Bennett and wife Melissa Bennett; stepmother, Hillos S. Easley; mother-in-law, Rubye Lee Wascom; sisters, Shelia Easley Whitefield and husband Eddie Whitefield, Debbie Easley Pilkinton and husband Fred Pilkinton, Barabara Gail Blount; brothers, Kenneth Easley Jr and wife Marsha Easley, Willis Easley and wife Shannon Easley, Dale Easley and wife Lori Easley; grandchildren, Tylin Danna, Brock Bennett, Tristan Kinchen, Titus Kinchen, Kimber Kinchen, and Ayden Easley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George K. Easley Sr, Mary Jones Easley; brother, Dennis Craig Easley; father-in-law, Thomas H. Wascom; stepfather Doug McBain.Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at New Beginnings Outreach in Holden, on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Bradley Bennett and Bro.
