Three party crashers caused a disturbance at a party Sunday evening that led first to a stabbing, the arrest of one of the men and an ongoing search for the other two men, according to Sheriff Jason Ard.
Around 6 p.m., members of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 26000 block of Bobby Gill Road in Denham Springs in reference to a stabbing.
“Detectives learned that a planned get-together was underway at a residence on the roadway listed above,” Ard said. “It’s believed three uninvited guests showed up, a verbal argument began then escalated to a physical fight.”
The sheriff said two men were injured when they were stabbed by one of the three uninvited guests. The two victims are both believed to be in their 20s and both were unidentified by the Sheriff’s Office. Ard said both victims’ injuries were non-life-threatening.
One suspect, Fabian Vidal Barreras, was booked on one with count disturbing the peace by fighting and was released from the Livingston Parish Detention Center after posting a $500 bond.
Ard said deputies are searching for the other two men believed to be involved, Carmelo Vidal Barreras, who will be charged with attempted second degree murder when he is caught, and Ruben Vidal Barreras, who will be charged with attempted second degree murder and second degree battery.
The sheriff said the investigation into the incident is continuing.
