LIVINGSTON -- Lanes on both sides of Interstate 12 in the Livingston-Albany area face intermittent closures on Tuesday, May 16, according to the state Department of Transportation & Development.

The area is from three miles west of Livingston at La. 63 to the Albany interchange at La. 43, said Kris Wascom, project engineer with the DOTD office in Hammond.

The closures will occur in both eastbound and westbound lanes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to allow equipment to be moved around a job site, Wascom said.

Motorists can take U.S. 190 as an alternate route to avoid this operation, he said.
