DENHAM SPRINGS – A section of Interstate 12 eastbound from Livingston to Holden will be closed Thursday, March 2, according to the state Department of Housing & Urban Development (DOTD).

The eastbound outside travel lane will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 p.m. from the La. 63 exit in Livingston to one mile east of the La. 441 exit at Holden, said Kris Wascom, project engineer with the District 62 office in Hammond.

This lane closure is to allow crews to remove equipment from a road project, Wasco said. At least one lane will remain open at all times.

Motorists may take U.S. 190 as an alternate route to avoid this operation, he said.
