Staff report

ALBANY – A section of North Montpelier Road (La. 43) in Albany will have a lane closed this weekend, according to the state Department of Transportation & Development.

The southbound lane of North Montpelier Road, a quarter-mile north of U.S. 190, will be closed with flagging operations on Saturday and Sunday, April 1-2, said Kris Wascom, project engineer with the District 62 office in Hammond.

The lane closure is necessary to allow crews install drainage structures for the new O'Reilly Auto Parts, he said.

As alternate routes, motorists could use La. 43 to La. 442 to Interstate 55 to U.S. 190, Wascom said, or La. 43 to La. 442 to La. 441 to U.S. 190.
