DENHAM SPRINGS -- Lanes of 4-H Club Road will be closed at night until Friday, March 24, to install new asphalt pavement, according to the state Department of Transportation & Development (DOTD).

Single lane closures from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. will take place on 4-H Club Road (La. 1032) from Florida Boulevard (U.S. 190) to Rushing Road West (La. 3003), said Kris Wascom, project engineer with DOTD District 62 in Hammond.

The asphalt work began Sunday night.

Wascom said to avoid the work zone, motorists can take Florida Boulevard to South Range Avenue (La. 3002) to Vincent Road (La. 1034) to 4-H Club Road as an alternate route.
