The students of Immaculate Conception Early Learning Center recently competed in its annual Trike-A-Thon to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a comprehensive cancer center providing a supportive atmosphere, diagnostic capability and treatment for children.

“This year is extra important to all of us because it really hits close to home,” teacher Mandy Haley said. “We have two teachers whose children are being treated at St. Jude.”

“They are both doing well because of St. Jude’s help,” said Haley, one of the event’s organizers.

“Our goal this year is to raise $10,000. As of now we have $8,400. We still have until Apr. 7 to reach our goal.”

“Thanks to all of the community who came out to support our cause,” she said.
