Natchitoches – Actors from the theater rep at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts will present three performances of “Little Women, the Broadway Musical” April 28-29 in Treen Auditorium located in the High School Building.

Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, and 7 p.m. Saturday, April 29.

Tickets may be purchased through or at the door.

Based on the American classic by Louisa May Alcott, the story follows Jo March and her three sisters, Meg, Beth and Amy, as they struggle to grow up without a father in Civil War-era New England.

When Jo leaves the family to try to make it as a writer in New York City, she finds success difficult to achieve and is forced to sacrifice her dreams for her family to the realities of growing up.

“Join us for this family friendly musical tale about finding oneself and never giving up on your dreams,” said Jeff Thomakos, director of theater at LSMSA. “This warm musical will touch your heart and inspire you to never give up in the face of adversity.”
