The talented house band at the Old South Jamboree in Walker will host a tribute to the late, great Merle Haggard this Saturday, Feb. 4, beginning at 7 p.m.

Most of the male performers – Tommy Raborn, Robert Reynolds and Lynn Landry – will be doing renditions of Haggard’s hits, including show organizer and band leader Carlton Jones.

“The ladies will do a variety of Patsy Cline and other old country style favorites,” Jones said.

Other featured musicians and vocalists will be Deb Carpenter, June Barker, Larry and Maxine Whitfield, Ed Kinchen and Eddie Warren.

Jones said the Old South Jamboree will be celebrating its 10th anniversary soon with a special show.
