LOHS Talented Theater Troupe traveled back in time on Nov. 17 in a production of student-directed scene, which included scenes from classics such as “The Great Gatsby,” “Into the Woods,” “Who’s on First.”
The troupe included a pair of modern productions, “To Date or Not To Date” and “Failure: A Love Story.”
The cast laughed, sang, and even tearfully recognized our graduating seniors Bailee Kelley and Ean Hill. However, the theater crew of LOHS will have to get serious as it has a busy season ahead of it.
Heading to Natchitoches in January for the annual State Thespian Convention will prepare them as they take on the task of the first original production for Live Oak High School, written by Abby Moonshower, Live Oak’s talented theater teacher and director.
The show is a modern steampunk and romantic rendition of the classic, “Peter Pan: Wendy and the Lost Boys,” which will include love, dangerous villains, mermaids and of course Tinker Bell.
Come see them Apr. 6th, Apr. 7 and Apr. 8 at 7 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door, $10 each. After “Peter Pan,” the troupe heads to New York City in the summer for workshops, college campus tours, and sightseeing.
