Baton Rouge - Come celebrate New Year’s Eve at Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room on Saturday, Dec. 31, from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The jam-packed evening of entertainment includes performances by the Listening Room All-Stars, including southern soul and R&B singers Uncle Chess, April “Sexy Red” Jackson and Xavier Shorts, as well as blues rapper Lee Tyme.

Special guests are the “King and Queen of the Gut Bucket Blues,” Smokehouse Porter and Miss Mamie, blues singer Keagan Soto and “the thinking man’s drinking band” The Rakers.

Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor add their Louisiana style blues, reggae, soul and funk sound into the mix of diverse and eclectic artists.

Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor’s current release is “The Baton Rouge Theme Song.”

It is featured on Hit City Digital’s CD, “Great Baton Rouge Flood of 2016” and is an homage to his hometown’s upcoming 200th anniversary on January 16, 2017.

The compilation recording also includes April “Sexy Red” Jackson’s “Move” and Lee Tyme’s “Big Daddy’s Home.”

Both performers will be sharing the stage for this exciting New Year’s Eve celebration.
